Galaxy A52 5G gets January 2024 security update in the USA

Earlier today, we reported that the Galaxy A52 5G has started getting the January 2024 security update. However, the update was limited to some European countries. Now, Samsung has also started rolling out the new security update to the Galaxy A52 5G in the US.

The factory-unlocked version of the Galaxy A52 5G has started getting the January 2024 security update in the USA. The update comes bearing firmware version A526U1UESCFXA1, and it is available on all carrier networks in the country, including AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, Dish, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Xfinity Mobile.

The new update includes the January 2024 security patch that fixes around 75 security-related flaws that were found in the previous software version. It doesn't bring any new features or performance improvements.

How to install the new update?

If you have a Galaxy A52 5G's factory-unlocked version in the US, you can now check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install on your phone. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually if you have a computer running the Windows operating system and the Odin tool.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A52 5G with Android 11 onboard in early 2021. The phone received the Android 12 update later that year. In late 2022, the phone received the Android 13 update, and the Android 14 update arrived a few weeks ago. The phone will also get the One UI 6.1 update in a few weeks, and you can watch its features in our video below.
