Galaxy A50 November security update released in Europe and the US

Last updated: November 4th, 2019 at 09:22 UTC+01:00

The Galaxy A50 is now receiving an update with the November 2019 security patch. The update is rolling out for the unlocked variant in the US and in more than 20 markets in Europe, including Germany, France, the Netherlands, the UK, Bulgaria, Spain, Hungary, Switzerland, and Poland. The update for the US comes with software version A505U1UES3ASJ3 and the one released in Europe has software version A505FNXXS2ASK1.

The considerably wide rollout of the November update for the Galaxy A50 is quite similar to how the November update was released for the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 in almost every country across the globe in a matter of days. However, it's just a regular security update with the latest Android security patch for the Galaxy A50. What the latest security patch entails is a mystery for now, but it should only be a matter of time before Google and Samsung detail the November 2019 security patch.

Own a Galaxy A50? You can download the update on your phone from the Settings » Software update menu by tapping the Download and install option. You may have to do that a couple of times before the update starts downloading. You can also upgrade your A50 by flashing the latest firmware on it using a Windows PC. Galaxy A50 firmware can be downloaded from our firmware archive.
