The Galaxy A33 5G is getting a new update that should improve the phone's security. But even though Samsung is already rolling out the May patch to a handful of devices, the Galaxy A33 5G stays one month behind.

In other words, Samsung has released the April 2023 security patch for the Galaxy A33 5G (SM-A336B). The update is available in Europe and has firmware version A336BXXU5CWD1. It looks like it may also improve performance and stability and may bring additional features. The fantastic Image Clipper seems to be among the latest additions.

The April 2023 security patch fixes 66 security flaws affecting Android OS and One UI. The update fixes some Exynos vulnerabilities and addresses loopholes in the TIGERF trustlet, hijacking vulnerabilities in CertificatPolicy, and more.

Galaxy A33 users can download the latest update once they receive the notification from Samsung, or they can attempt to trigger the update process manually by accessing the Settings app, navigating to “Software update,” and tapping “Download and install.”

Users who prefer manual updates through their Windows PCs can download the official firmware files for the Galaxy A33 5G from our website.
