The first mid-range smartphone to which Samsung offered the March 2024 security patch was the Galaxy A32 5G. However, back then, the company didn’t extend the same courtesy to the Galaxy A32. There was no sign of the security update for the device even after entering April. Fortunately, that’s changing today.
Samsung has released the March 2024 security patch to the international variant of the Galaxy A32, which carries the model number SM-A325F. The software update bringing the latest security update changes the firmware version to A325FXXS8DXC1. The March 2024 security patch fixes a total of 45 issues related to security, among which, 36 fixes come from Google and 9 fixes are from Samsung’s end. At the moment, the update is live in four countries: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.
If you live in these regions, your Galaxy A32 should notify you about the new software update as it becomes available for your device in the next couple of hours/days. But if it doesn’t, you can check for the update manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. If you don’t want to wait till the update becomes available for your unit, you can download the firmware from our database and install it manually. However, we recommend you get the update over the air as it is safer.
Currently, the Galaxy A32 is running on Android 13 (One UI 5.1.1) and the phone is not eligible to get any new versions of the OS, including Android 14 (One UI 6.X) and Android 15 (One UI 7.X). If you are thinking of upgrading the phone in light of that, the recently launched Galaxy A35 will be a perfect upgrade for you.
