Samsung started rolling out the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update to eligible Galaxy smartphones and tablets on 7 April 2025. Almost two months later, the brand released it to all devices; however, only in a few regions, including its home country, South Korea. In other regions, a few phones and tablets haven’t received the update. In India, one of those devices is the Galaxy A14 5G. Well, that’s finally changing.
Samsung has released a software update to the Galaxy A14 5G in India. It offers Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and the May 2025 security patch (via Tarun Vats). The update is 2,926.67MB in size and carries firmware version A146BXXU8DYF4, as you can see in the screenshot below. To get it, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. During installation, your device may heat up and restart.
Android 15-based One UI 7.0 brings a new user interface that is cleaner, more modern, and more sophisticated, smoother animations, which make your device feel faster to use, and a ton of new features, including Live Notifications and Now Bar that offer more convenience. All these upgrades will make using the device more fun. On the other hand, the May 2025 security patch fixes many security issues.
Unfortunately, this is the last major update for the Galaxy A14 5G. It is not eligible to get Android 16-based One UI 8.0.
