A few months ago, the very idea that a low-cost device such as the Galaxy A12 Nacho would receive Android 13 before the end of 2022 wouldn’t have even crossed our minds. Yet here we are, in the middle of December, bringing you news about the One UI 5.0 update landing on the Galaxy A12 Nacho.

It’s true! The Galaxy A12 Nacho has just received the Android 13 One UI 5.0 update in a couple of markets. We knew the phone would get Android 13 eventually, but we would’ve never guessed that it would be so quick to receive the update. Even Samsung’s tentative roadmaps for Android 13 don’t mention this device.

Regardless, Android 13 is now rolling out for the Galaxy A12 Nacho (SM-A127F) in a couple of countries in Europe, including Poland and Russia. The update carries firmware version A127FXXU7CL2 and includes the November 2022 security patch.

With the One UI 5.0 update, the Exynos 850-powered Nacho should feel snappier, at least in theory, and boast a few extra features. However, this is a One UI “Core” update and doesn’t include everything you find in standard One UI 5.0 for higher-end Galaxy devices.

If you’re looking to update the Galaxy A12 Nacho, you can try triggering the process by launching the Settings app, accessing “Software update” and tapping “Download and install.” If you prefer manual updates using a PC, you can download the official firmware files from our website.
