It remains to be seen how much the Galaxy S23 FE will cost in the country, and whether the rumored $100 price reduction will translate into a lower price in India as well, but as far as the launch date is concerned, Samsung India has confirmed that the S23 FE will go official in India on October 4, the same day as other major markets.
The confirmation comes via Samsung India's X/Twitter page, where the company had previously teased that “the new epic is coming soon“. And while Samsung is keeping all the spec details under wraps, YouTuber Mukul Sharma has revealed that Indian customers will be getting the Exynos 2200 variant of the Galaxy S23 FE, which might come as a disappointment for some fans.
In fact, the Exynos 2200 variant will be launching in most markets. The variant powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 will be exclusive to a handful of countries, including the US, Canada, and the USA. Samsung launched the Snapdragon version of the Galaxy S22 lineup everywhere outside Europe last year and ditched Exynos altogether for the Galaxy S23 series, but for the Galaxy S23 FE, the company is going back to its usual tradition of focusing more on its in-house chip.
However, it's possible India will get both variants of the phone. Like it did with the Galaxy S20 FE and Galaxy S21 FE, Samsung could bring the Snapdragon Galaxy S23 FE to India some time after the Exynos model. But it's also possible Samsung won't bother doing it this time around, as the S23 FE is already launching with chips that first debuted more than a year ago.
