Samsung has released an update to the Expert RAW app for Galaxy smartphones. It carries version 6.0.02.8. While the brand hasn’t provided any information on what changes or upgrades it brings, the new version of the app seems to have a serious issue on devices running One UI 9.0 (Android 17), and you should skip installing it.
After installing the latest Expert RAW update on devices running One UI 9.0, such as the Galaxy S26 series, when you open the app, it will ask you to update the phone’s firmware to be able to use it. However, there is no new firmware available for the phone at the moment. This means that you won’t be able to use the app at all.

The same issue may occur on other Galaxy smartphones running One UI 9.0, such as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 series, Galaxy Z Flip 8, and all the Samsung smartphones for which the brand has opened the new software’s beta program.
We hope that the company acknowledges the problem and quickly releases an update to fix the issue. Until then, you may want to skip installing the latest Expert RAW update. On a related note, the tech giant added many features to it with the last update.
