Samsung surprised us all with a new product at the Consumer Electronics Show 2022 called The Freestyle. It’s a compact smart projector that also functions as a smart speaker. The Freestyle is an incredibly versatile product and no wonder it’s seeing a lot of interest.
It’s a truly one-of-its-kind product as The Freestyle offers a lot of features that you wouldn’t expect from a projector. Its portable size and ability to run off of a USB-C battery pack certainly add to its appeal.

Point it at everything from slanted walls to kitchen tables and floors, The Freestyle will automatically align the picture to achieve the correct orientation. It’s capable of projecting your content from 30 to 100 inches of high-definition.
The device has a cradle that allows for 180-degrees of rotation, enabling users to easily adjust the projector screen. The built-in speaker provides a cinematic audio experience. It supports screen mirroring so you can easily view content from your mobile device on a massive screen.
The Freestyle can even double as a television. Samsung’s smart TV functionality is also built-in. This lets you access your favorite streaming apps, music, voice assistants and more without ever needing a conventional display. There’s much more that the device can do.
Perhaps that’s why it’s now one of the hottest products to watch out for. People are interested in it and certainly seem to be willing to buy it. Samsung told us that more than 230,000 people have pre-registered for The Freestyle in EU alone. This isn’t representative of sales to end customers but such high interest is usually followed by a good conversion rate.
It goes without saying that The Freestyle is seeing similar levels of interest in other markets, particularly in the United States, which will be among the first countries to get it. At $899, it appears that customers feel The Freestyle offers great bang for the buck. Looks like Samsung just might have another gold mine on its hands.
