USA Carrier-locked Galaxy Z Flip 3 users can install May 2023 security update

Samsung is continuing its rollout of the May 2023 security update. The newest phone to get this new update is the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The new software is currently available on some carrier networks, while others are yet to release the update within the next few days.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711USQS4FWE3 in the US. DISH has released the update on its network, while others will soon follow suit within the next few weeks. The update brings the May 2023 security patch that fixes over 70 vulnerabilities found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets.

Galaxy Z Flip 3 May 2023 security update: How to install?

If you have a Galaxy Z Flip 3's carrier-locked version in the US, you can check for the new update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in the second half of 2021 with Android 11 onboard. The foldable phone received the Android 12 update later that year and the Android 13 update in late 2022. It will get two more Android OS updates, starting with Android 14 later this year.
