The stable Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update is now available for carrier-locked Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in the US. The update comes bearing firmware version G99xUSQU9FWK9. It is a major software update and is available over the air. We recommend you back up all your important files and download the update via a Wi-Fi network. You can check for the new update by opening the Settings app on your phone and navigating to Software update » Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
The update is currently available over the air for AT&T and DISH Wireless networks. The factory-unlocked Galaxy S21 series units haven't received the Android 14 update yet, but it should be available within the next few days.
One UI 6.0 brings several new features to the Galaxy S21, including a new Quick Panel layout, a media player widget with a waveform animation, a new font, new emoji designs, and more font and placement options for the lock screen clock widget.
Samsung has also introduced two new widgets: Custom Camera and Weather Insights. The camera app now has a more simple design, allowing you to change settings more easily. All the stock apps have been improved as well. The built-in image editor now has more prominent editing controls, while the built-in video editor has been renamed to Video Studio, which now supports drafts.
You can find all the One UI 6.0 features in our in-depth video below.
