Samsung is known for releasing two versions of its flagship devices, one that has its own Exynos processor and the other that uses chips from another company, Qualcomm mostly. A leaked benchmark test for the Galaxy Note 4 showed that a version with Exynos 5433 CPU and another with the Snapdragon 805 was under testing.
Now sources familiar with the matter tell ZDNet Korea that Qualcomm has definitely agreed to sell Samsung the Snapdragon 805 for Galaxy Note 4 and that its also offering the company a significant discount on the price, reportedly in the “two digits per chip” region. Its unclear why Qualcomm is extending this rare courtesy to Samsung but the report claims this has angered LG which believes it should receive a similar discount since its also an important Qualcomm customer.
Samsung obviously has not confirmed any of this so it would be better to take it with a grain of salt, though seeing as how the Snapdragon 805 is the processor of choice for all high-end devices at this time, it wouldn't really surprise anyone if the Galaxy Note 4 had it too.
