The Google One VPN service is now available for devices running Windows and macOS. The service will be available via the new desktop apps. Users with a Premium plan of 2 TB or more can access the Google One VPN service. This is above the basic 100GB plan, which costs $1.99/month or $19.99/year, and the standard 200GB plan, which costs $2.99/month or $29.99/year.

Now, with the arrival of the Google One VPN service on Windows and macOS, users from 22 countries can mask their IPs and protect their online activities. The supported countries are Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, United Kingdom, United States.

Although the service is expanding, it comes with usual Google restrictions that it is only available in supported countries. Also, you won't be able to use it freely to avoid geo-restrictions on live sports and other streaming videos.

When you connect to a Google One VPN via your Samsung laptop running Windows 10/11, it will assign you an IP in the region you are connecting from. You can get the Mac and Windows Google One VPN app from the Google One website. You need to navigate to Benefits » VPN protection for multiple devices » Download app. Install the VPNbyGoogleOneSetup.exe, and you're done.

While some users will be able to download the Google One with VPN service on their desktops starting today, for others, the feature is expected to roll out in the next few days. Do note that you need Windows 10+ and 64-bit or ARM CPU to run the Google One VPN app.
