Samsung has released its latest custom Android interface, One UI 9.0, for several Galaxy phones and tablets, including one of the most affordable eligible devices, the Galaxy A07. However, there's one device that hasn't received the update yet, even though it arguably should have received it long ago: the Galaxy S23 FE.
Samsung is now rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy S23 FE. Unfortunately, this isn't the One UI 9.0 update that owners have been waiting for. Instead, it brings the October 2026 security patch, which fixes 62 security issues and improves the device's security.
The brand appears to be rolling out the update globally, with India among the first countries to receive it. The update is 291.55MB in size and carries firmware version S711BXXSJGZI6 (via Kailash). You can check for and install it by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
It's rather strange that Samsung has updated the entry-level Galaxy A07 to One UI 9.0 but continues to keep Galaxy S23 FE owners waiting. The brand's Thailand division says that it will arrive “later this year.” It will most likely be the last One UI feature update for the phone.
