TL;DR

  • Samsung has started rolling out the Galaxy A16's One UI 9.0 update beyond South Korea, with the UAE among the first markets.
  • The update uses firmware version A166EXXUAEZJ5, and more countries should get it in the coming days.
  • One UI 9.0 adds more Quick Panel customization, a location privacy indicator, a Warranty and care section, and upgrades to DeX, Notes, and accessibility.

Last month, Samsung released the One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A16. However, the brand made it available only in its home country, South Korea. Now, the company has started rolling it out globally, with the United Arab Emirates among the first regions to get it.

It carries firmware version A166EXXUAEZJ5. However, there's no information on the package size at the moment. The tech giant should release it in other countries over the next few days. You can check its availability by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.

With One UI 9.0, you get more customization options for Quick Panel, a location privacy indicator, the Warranty and care section in Settings, and upgraded Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes, and accessibility features. You can watch our video below to see these changes in action.
