Although Samsung has launched several wireless earbuds over the years, it has been over a decade since it released a pair of wireless over-ear headphones. A few months ago, we reported that the company is working on new Galaxy headphones, and they now seem to be getting closer to an official launch.

The upcoming wireless headphones, bearing model number SM-U700, received certification from South Korea's National Radio Research Agency (RRA) on October 23, 2026. Recent reports suggest that these headphones will be called the Galaxy Studio.

While we don't know much about these headphones yet, we expect them to feature a newer version of Bluetooth, such as Bluetooth 6.1, which is already available on the Galaxy Buds 4 series. Based on the “Studio” branding, we also expect them to support high-quality audio codecs like AAC, LC3, and SSC UHQ

It will likely feature Buds Auto Switch and a USB Type-C port for charging and wired audio.

Most high-end wireless headphones from rival brands like Apple, Bose, Sennheiser, and Sony offer Active Noise Cancellation and multi-day battery life. Samsung's upcoming headphones could feature those same capabilities.
