Samsung Galaxy S25+
Samsung has released the first software update for the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra since rolling out the stable version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17). The update brings the October 2026 security patch, which fixes 62 security vulnerabilities in the previous firmware, making the devices more secure.
As usual, the brand has released the update in its home country, South Korea, first. It is 539.24MB in size and carries firmware version S93xNKSSDDZJ2 (via Kailash). We expect the company to roll it out in other regions over the next few days. To check for the update and install it, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Samsung launched the Galaxy S25 series in February 2025 with One UI 7 (Android 15) and promised seven years of major OS and security updates. This means the phones are eligible for One UI 9.5, its next major interface update, as well as One UI 10.0, which is rumored to bring significant upgrades.
If you haven’t gotten a chance to fully explore One UI 9.0, watch our video below to know what changes and upgrades it brings, and everything you can do to make the most of it.
