Samsung Browser gets two new useful features with latest update

Samsung Browser version 31.0.0.64 adds tablet-only Split view for side-by-side browsing on Galaxy tablets.

The update also lets users switch to open tabs instantly from the URL bar search field.

Samsung has not yet fully explained how the new tab-switching feature works.

It has been only two days since Samsung released an update for the Samsung Browser app for Galaxy smartphones and tablets, and now the brand is rolling out another update to it.

The latest update carries version 31.0.0.64 and introduces two new and useful features (via Kailash). You can check out the official changelog below:

Supports “Split view” for efficient multi-view browsing (*tablet-only)

Supports instant switching to open tabs via the URL bar search field

Let’s start with Split view. As the name suggests, the feature allows you to open two websites side-by-side on your Galaxy tablet. It makes better use of the tablet’s larger display and lets you browse multiple websites simultaneously, making multitasking and/or web browsing more convenient.

The second feature allows you to instantly switch to open tabs using the URL bar’s search field. However, we aren’t entirely sure how the feature works at the moment. We’ll explore it and update this article with more details once we have a better understanding of how it works.
