Galaxy S27 Ultra’s thickness and weight reportedly revealed

We have already seen what Samsung’s next flagship non-foldable smartphone, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, is expected to look like. Now, we are learning more about its physical characteristics, including its thickness and weight.

According to popular tipster Ice Universe, the Galaxy S27 Ultra will measure 7.9mm in thickness and weigh 218 grams.

For comparison, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is also 7.9mm thick but weighs 214 grams. That means Samsung’s next flagship could retain the same thickness as its predecessor while being four grams heavier.

The increase in weight could be attributed to the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s reportedly much larger battery. The phone is said to feature a 5,700mAh battery, up from the 5,000mAh unit in the Galaxy S26 Ultra. That represents a 14% increase in battery capacity, while the reported weight increase is only around 2%.

If these figures are accurate, Samsung appears to have managed to significantly increase the battery capacity without adding much weight or thickness to the phone.

Hopefully, we will learn the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s full dimensions soon. That should give us a better idea of how its overall form factor compares with the Galaxy S26 Ultra and what changes, if any, Samsung has made to its external design.
