On Samsung smartphones and tablets, there are now new updates available for the Google Play System and Android System WebView.
The update for the Google Play System has a size of 12MB (via Tarun), and that for the Android System WebView has a size of 17.70MB (via Kailash).
After installing the latest Google Play System update, the date mentioned in the Google Play System update field remains unchanged (1 June, 2026). As usual, there’s no changelog available for it. You can get it by going to Settings > Security and privacy > Updates > Google Play System update.
As for the Android System WebView update, there is no changelog available for it either. Android System WebView allows other apps to display webpages inside the app without opening the web browser. As such, updates for it usually provide improved performance, security enhancements, and bug fixes.
To get the latest Android System WebView update, go to Settings > Apps > Android System WebView > App details in store > Update. Google seems to have made these updates available for all eligible Samsung smartphones globally.
