Samsung has released a new software update for the Galaxy A55 in South Korea, where the phone is sold as the Galaxy Quantum 5. It brings the July 2026 security patch, which fixes 57 security vulnerabilities to improve the device's security. The update carries firmware version A556SKSS8DZF2 (via Mohammed Khatri).
We expect Samsung to roll out the July 2026 security update to the Galaxy A55 in other markets over the next few days. Once it's available for your device, you'll receive a notification prompting you to install it. You can also check for the update manually by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
