Samsung’s first and only phone with a tri-folding screen, the Galaxy Z TriFold, is getting a new software update. It brings the July 2026 security patch, which fixes 57 security issues. That makes the device more secure than before.
In a classic Samsung fashion, the brand has released the update first in its home country, South Korea. The update for the South Korean units of the device carries firmware version F968NKSS6BZG3 (via Mohammed Khatri).
As usual, the company should roll out the update in other countries over the next few days. To check the availability of the update for the Galaxy Z TriFold that brings the July 2026 security patch, go to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
Speaking of updates for the phone, it is supposed to get a major one in the next couple of months, which will bring One UI 9.0 (Android 17). The new software packs more options for user interface customisation as well as many new features.
