It hasn’t even been a week since Samsung updated the Galaxy A24 with One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2), and now, the brand seems to have started working on releasing its latest Android customisation for Galaxy phones, One UI 9.0 (Android 17), to the phone.

On Samsung’s server, a firmware file for the Galaxy A24 featuring One UI 9.0 has been spotted for the first time. It carries firmware version A245FXXUCGZF4 (via Tarun Vats). It suggests that the brand has started testing the new software for the device.

Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 last month and released its beta version for the Galaxy S26 series. The brand is expected to debut its stable version next month with the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Soon after that, the company should start rolling it out to older eligible devices.

One UI 9.0 brings a more customizable Quick Panel, improvements to Samsung DeX, new features for Samsung Notes and Game Booster, a location privacy indicator, and several accessibility enhancements, including Text Spotlight, Select to Speak, improved Mouse Keys, and an updated TalkBack experience.
