Samsung has released a new update for the Samsung Notes app for Galaxy smartphones. It bumps the app's version to 4.4.41.9 and introduces three new features (via @theonecid), which we think are very useful.

The first is the Match style when pasting option. When enabled, a piece of text copied from somewhere and then pasted in a note automatically adopts the formatting of the text at the insertion point, helping maintain a consistent appearance throughout the note. You can find the option under Settings > Advanced > Match style when pasting.

Samsung has also added a Group by date option to the note list. Available from the Sort by menu, it lets you group notes by date, making it easier to organize and browse your notes.

Finally, Samsung has made PDF importing more accessible by adding an Import PDF shortcut to the Create Note button's long-press menu. The option is also available from the menu in the top-right corner.

To update Samsung Notes, open Galaxy Store, tap Menu > Updates, and then tap the update icon next to Samsung Notes or select Update all in the top-right corner of the screen.
