Samsung picked up the pace of the One UI 8.5 rollout last week. After several high-end phones and tablets received the update over the past couple of weeks, more entry-level and mid-range Galaxy devices have started getting it this week. One of those devices is the Galaxy Tab A11.
After the Galaxy Tab A11+ received the update yesterday, Samsung has now released the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy Tab A11 in South Korea.
The update comes with firmware version X133DXU4BZE6 for the Wi-Fi-only variant of the tablet and X135NKOU4BZE7 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular version. Besides a slightly refreshed UI design language, improved stock apps, and enhanced privacy and security, the update also includes the May 2026 security patch.
If you own a Galaxy Tab A11 in South Korea, you can now check for the update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once all the required files are downloaded from Samsung’s servers, tap Install now to begin the installation process.
The update process will take a few minutes, after which the tablet will restart automatically. Make sure that your tablet has at least 30% battery charge left before installing the update.
The One UI 8.5 update introduces a refreshed UI design language with additional transparency and background blur effects across the interface. Samsung has also updated the look of stock app icons.
The Quick Panel is now fully customizable, and the update also includes new downloadable wallpapers and expanded lock screen customization options, including additional clock font adjustments.
The Weather widget has been improved, and the Clock app now includes a built-in time zone converter. Users can also add shortcuts to wireless displays for quicker access to wireless screen mirroring.
Samsung Health now offers more layouts for sharing workout metrics. Users can create images that combine workout information, previous workout statistics, and personal photos before sharing them on social media or with friends and family.
The updated Device Care section now provides more detailed battery information. Users can quickly check battery level, charging status, battery protection settings, and usage statistics for both the current and previous week from a single screen.
Power Saving mode is now more customizable, allowing users to choose which features are disabled to save battery life.
One UI 8.5 also allows users to temporarily disable Auto Blocker.
Accessibility features have been improved as well. The update adds an enhanced magnification view for keyboard and mouse users, an option to trigger actions when the mouse pointer stops moving, and four separate customized corner actions when the cursor reaches any of the four screen corners.
Samsung Notes now supports tables. Users can adjust column width, colors, and border styles, and can also use automatic calculations inside tables.
The new tab page in Samsung Internet makes it easier to access websites quickly. It can also display tabs opened on other Galaxy devices linked to the same Samsung Account, along with current security status information.
One UI 8.5 also introduces partial screen recording, allowing users to record only a selected portion of the display instead of the entire screen.
The Calculator app can now offer calculation suggestions based on copied content in the clipboard.
