Samsung has been beta-testing One UI 8.5 for over four months, and the Galaxy S26 series was the first to run the stable version of the software. Many users were wondering when Samsung would begin rolling out the stable update to older devices. That day has finally arrived, as the company has officially announced its rollout plan.
The update has already been released to some devices today, with more devices getting it in the future.
The stable One UI 8.5 update will start rolling out today, May 6, 2026, to eligible Galaxy devices. The update will first arrive in South Korea, followed by Europe, Hong Kong, India, Latin America, North America, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan.
The update will reach the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Ultra, and Galaxy S25 Edge first.
In addition to UI and UX improvements, One UI 8.5 also brings new Galaxy AI features. However, some AI features will only be available on select phones and tablets. Galaxy S, Galaxy Tab S, and Galaxy Z series devices are expected to receive the update first, followed by Galaxy A, Galaxy F, and Galaxy M series devices.
Galaxy A series devices from the last three generations will receive Awesome Intelligence AI features as a part of the One UI 8.5 update.
