A new Edge laptop didn’t seem like it was on Samsung’s bingo card this year, but rumors suggested otherwise. Now, Samsung is confirming it. The Galaxy Book 6 Edge is official, following a surprise announcement in France.
It will go on sale in early May, but pricing details haven’t been confirmed yet. Samsung France says the Galaxy Book 6 Edge will be available with a 16-inch screen, 512GB and 1TB storage options, and a Glacier Gray color.
The Galaxy Book 6 Edge looks very much like the previous generation, but Samsung has upgraded a few key characteristics and made it thinner.
Battery life is rated for up to 22 hours of video playback on a full charge. The laptop boasts 65W ultra-fast charging, and the battery can go from 0% to 40% charge in just 30 minutes.
Samsung also mentions features like Quick Search, AI Select, Quick Share.
Whether the Galaxy Book 6 Edge will go on sale globally in May remains to be seen. It will hit shelves in France and possibly other European markets. Rumors say it may start at €2,199 and go as high as €2,800. We’ll keep you posted as soon as pricing and availability details are confirmed.
