The Galaxy M54 units in Thailand are getting a new software update. Carrying firmware version M546BXXSCEZD3, it brings the April 2026 security patch, which addresses 47 security vulnerabilities present in the previous version of the OS, making the phone more secure than before.

Samsung may have released the update in other countries as well. You can check if the brand has made it available in your region by going to Settings > Software update > Download and install. The company may be rolling it out in a phased manner, and the complete rollout may take at least a few days.

The Galaxy M54 is eligible to get Samsung’s latest Android customisation for its phones, One UI 8.5. Based on Android 16 QPR2, it brings a redesigned user interface and many new features. However, there’s no information about when it will arrive.

On a related note, Samsung has started developing One UI 9.0 as well. Just like most major software updates, it too packs UI design changes and new features. We managed to get our hands on it, and you can check out our experience with it in the video below.
