Samsung has scored a major win in the global smartphone market, with the Galaxy A56 emerging as the world’s highest-selling Android smartphone in Q4 2025. More importantly, four Samsung Galaxy devices, including the flagship Galaxy S25, secured spots among the world’s top ten best-selling smartphones during the quarter.
According to Counterpoint Research, Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro Max was the best-selling smartphone globally in Q4 2025, followed by the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 16. Samsung’s Galaxy A56 secured the fifth spot, making it the world’s top-selling Android smartphone during the quarter.
The sixth and seventh positions were also claimed by Samsung devices — the Galaxy A36 and the Galaxy A07 — making them the second and third best-selling Android smartphones, respectively. And if you think Samsung’s flagship lineup failed to make the list, that’s not the case. The Galaxy S25 ranked tenth overall, behind the iPhone 16e and the Redmi A5, making it the fifth best-selling Android smartphone worldwide in Q4 2025.

With the Galaxy S26 already setting new global sales milestones, we expect Samsung’s flagship smartphones to climb even higher in the world’s top-selling smartphone rankings in Q1 2026. However, rising component costs, which have already led the South Korean tech giant to increase smartphone prices, could put a dent in the brand’s sales momentum.
