Last week, we came across a discovery suggesting that Samsung will open the One UI 8.5 Beta Program for the Galaxy S23 series. And that has fortunately turned out to be true.

Samsung has released the beta version of One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and the Galaxy S23 Ultra, as we expected earlier. It is currently available in India and could be released in other markets, including South Korea, the UK, and the USA.

The update comes with firmware version S911BXXU9ZZD5 and has a download size of around 4.16GB. It even includes the April 2026 security patch.

To get the first One UI 8.5 beta build for your Galaxy S23, go to the Samsung Members app, find and tap on the banner for the beta program of the new software for your device, and register your device for it. Now, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Here, you should be able to see the new update available. Tap on Install now to get it.

One UI 8.5 brings a host of changes that you’ll notice as soon as the update is installed. For instance, it introduces a refreshed user interface along with several new features designed to make your phone more convenient to use. You can check out all the major upgrades it offers in our video below.
