Samsung has released new updates for the Galaxy A56 and the Galaxy A55 in India. They bring the March 2026 security patch. It addresses 65 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making these phones more secure than before.
The update for the Galaxy A56 is 380.07MB in size and carries firmware version A566EXXS9BZC6. Whereas, that for the Galaxy A55 is 300.85MB in size and carries firmware version A556EXXSDCZC4 (via Tarun Vats).
To get the latest update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung could be rolling out the March 2026 security patch in other countries as we speak, and the remaining ones should get it in the next few days at the most.
On a related note, in December, Samsung released a new version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). The brand is expected to start rolling it out to eligible devices, including the Galaxy A55 and the Galaxy A56, very soon.
