Samsung’s first One UI 9.0 (Android 17) internal build leaked a few days ago, and it did not reveal any major features, as the company is still developing the software. However, it now appears that Samsung is working to bring most after-sales support and diagnostics features into a single place with the upcoming version of One UI.
A hidden app called Warranty & Care was discovered in the leaked One UI 9.0 firmware for the Galaxy S26+. It is not visible in the app drawer and had to be accessed using an activity launcher. According to Android Authority, the app acts as a central hub for device support. It lets users check their phone’s warranty status, access self-diagnostic tools, and view help guides.

The app also allows users to view their phone’s repair history, which adds transparency, especially for those buying or selling used devices. It can display repair cost estimates, allow service center reservations, and show real-time updates on repair status. This could make the repair process more convenient and easier to track.
With features like an AI-powered chatbot and remote assistance, the Warranty & Care app is designed to provide additional support when needed. Samsung still appears to be in the early stages of One UI 9.0 development, which is expected to debut in mid-2026 alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and the Galaxy Z Fold 8.
