Earlier this month, Samsung announced that it will launch a new smartphone in India called the Galaxy M17e 5G on March 17, 2026. As scheduled, the brand has finally launched the device. The company didn’t hold any event to debut the phone. Instead, the tech giant launched the device by sharing its videos on social media and video streaming platforms and making it available to purchase.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy M17e 5G in two configurations. The first variant offers 4GB RAM + 128GB storage, and the brand has priced it at INR 11,749. The second variant offers 6GB RAM + 128GB storage, and the company has priced it at INR 13,249. Prices are inclusive of an INR 1,250 discount. Samsung has made the phone available to purchase exclusively from Amazon India.

The Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6.7-inch LCD with HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor. Samsung is shipping it with One UI 8.0 (Android 16), and is promising to offer it six major OS upgrades and security updates for six years. The device comes packed with a 6,000mAh battery supporting up to 25W charging.
The Galaxy M17e 5G has two cameras at the rear, a 50MP camera with a wide lens as a primary camera and a 2MP camera as a depth sensor. At the front, there is an 8MP camera. The phone is dust and splash-resistant, and to that extent, it comes with an IP54 rating. Samsung says that the device supports 12 5G bands, the highest in the segment. Samsung is offering the phone in two colors, Blitz Blue and Vibe Violet.
