Earlier today, Samsung released the fifth beta version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) for the Galaxy S25 series. Initially, the brand rolled it out in India, then in Europe and the UK, and now the company is offering it in the United States (via Oscar Lachapel)
The Galaxy S25’s One UI 8.5 Beta 5 update for the US is live for the carrier-unlocked versions, is 547.48MB in size, and carries firmware version S93xU1UEU7ZZAN. Just like in other countries, it offers only one change: “Applied Bixby version update.”
To get the update, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We assume that the brand is also rolling out the update to carrier-locked versions of the Galaxy S25 series for the US. Note that it is available only for people enrolled in the beta program.
Samsung is expected to debut the stable version of One UI 8.5 with the Galaxy S26 series, which it will launch at the next Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. Soon after that, the company is said to start rolling out the update to all the eligible devices.
