In December 2025, Samsung released the latest version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5. Currently, the brand is beta testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. It brought many new features, which you can check out here. With every new beta version, the company is adding even more features to the software. Well, it looks like Samsung has now added a new one to it, High Quality Audio Input.
First spotted by Galaxy Techie, One UI 8.5’s High Quality Audio Input, as the name suggests, lets you use external wireless (Bluetooth) microphones as audio input for audio recordings, video recordings, and other such stuff. More specifically, it lets you record 24-bit audio with external microphones. It also lets you record audio using two external Bluetooth microphones, which is useful for interviews.
Samsung says that currently, the High Quality Audio Input in One UI 8.5 supports four external Bluetooth microphones: DJI Mic Mini, DJI Mic Mini 2, DJI Mic 2, and MJI Mic 3. It will let you adjust various audio parameters, such as noise reduction and gain. One UI 8.5 will also let you adjust its various settings from the Now Bar. This feature seems to come as a part of the new Advanced Audio.
The new feature isn't present in the latest official beta version of the software. Considering that, we assume that the screenshots come from a newer, unreleased beta version. Samsung could offer it to people enrolled in the beta program with the next beta update and eventually in the stable version of the software. This is a feature the brand could highlight with the Galaxy S26 series.
