The $2,899 price tag isn't that scary.

Wherever the Galaxy Z TriFold has been released so far, it has quickly sold out, often in a matter of minutes. Samsung has brought it back in stock multiple times in South Korea only to have the same result every single time.
So it was entirely within the realm of possibility that this would be the case when the device went on sale in the United States, and indeed, it has sold out rather quickly.
Samsung made the Galaxy Z Trifold available in the United States on January 30, 2026. The device is priced at $2,899. It's being sold online through Samsung.com and through select Samsung Experience Stores across the country.
The company isn't selling this device through any of the local carriers or other retailers, so customers who want one can only buy it directly from Samsung.
As expected, the Galaxy Z TriFold went out of stock not too long after Samsung began taking orders for the device online. Availability is similarly very constrained at the company's stores where the device is being sold.
It's unclear how many units Samsung is offering in each drop. If, for example, only a thousand units were made available across all sales points, one can easily imagine how quickly they will get snapped up even at this price given that it's not a lot of supply.
Samsung hasn't said precisely when the Galaxy Z TriFold will be restocked. The product page on its website for this device only mentions that it's “restocking soon,” but it could be at least a couple of weeks before more units are made available.
