Last month, Samsung released a new version of One UI for Galaxy smartphones, One UI 8.5. Currently, the brand is beta testing it on the Galaxy S25 series. Once the company completes the testing and launches the Galaxy S26 series, on which it will debut the stable version of the software, the tech giant is expected to start rolling out the update to eligible devices.
To that extent, Samsung is testing One UI 8.5 for many eligible devices, including the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S23 lineups, Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Well, the brand seems to have started testing the new software on two more devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4, making the software one step closer to release.
On Samsung’s server, we have spotted firmware for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and the Galaxy Z Flip 4 with One UI 8.5. It suggests that Samsung has started testing the new software for the two devices. The one for the Galaxy Z Fold 4 carries firmware version F936BXXUAJZAH, and that for the Galaxy Z Flip 4 carries firmware version F721BXXUAJZAH.
One UI 8.5 brings a user interface that looks less cluttered, more organised, and more modern. It is also more user-friendly and customisable. Along with that, you get a ton of new features, which will give the phones eligible for it a fresh breath of life. We have made a video taking you on a tour of the new software.
