If you want to improve the battery life of your Galaxy Watch, you can take several measures. One such measure is to use a less complicated watch face. But choosing that isn't so simple, as there has been a big change in the Play Store related to the watch face format. Google has now released an update that will help you choose better watch faces.
Google has released a new Play Store update (version 47.7) for Wear OS smartwatches. It displays power efficiency ratings for watch faces. It will display warnings for watch faces that have heavy animations, graphics, or display too much data. It will also target watch faces with dynamic data feeds or that need too much interaction with the connected smartphone.
With the switch from Tizen OS to Wear OS, Galaxy Watches have gained a lot of third-party apps and watch faces. However, if you have ever downloaded and installed a slick-looking watch face only to discover that your Galaxy Watch isn't even lasting a whole day on a single charge, this new Play Store update will be very helpful for you.
As usual, this update is being rolled out in phases, so some of you will get the update earlier than others. It also brings system management improvements to device connectivity and privacy. Some bugs related to Wallet services have also been fixed. All of this is a part of the new (v25.33) Google Play services update.
