Samsung has resumed the rollout of the One UI 7.0 (Android 15) update for the Galaxy S24 series today. Samsung paused the rollout a few days back owing to a critical bug discovered in the initial firmware, so it is now rolling out a newer firmware that should have the issue fixed.

The update is live in Samsung's home country and should start making its way to other markets soon. Users can identify it by the build number S928NKSU4BYD9. Whether this update will also be released for those who updated their phones before the rollout was paused remains to be seen.

If you're going to be updating your S24, S24+, or S24 Ultra to One UI 7 for the first time, we recommend disabling your lock screen protection to avoid running into the bug that affected the original update. The new update is likely very stable, but better to be safe than sorry.

Hopefully, Samsung will be able to get back on track with the deployment of the One UI 7 update and bring it to other devices before the end of the month, as it had promised. At the very least, we hope to see One UI 7 arrive on the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the Galaxy Z Flip 6 globally before May.

You will get a notification once One UI 7 is available for your device. If you don't like waiting, you can manually check for the update from the phone's Settings » Software update menu. One UI 7 firmware is also available in the SamMobile archive.
