Samsung has kept the Galaxy A24 on a quarterly security update schedule, which means that it will get one security update every quarter. Well, the company is now rolling out the one for this quarter to the phone's variant that it sells in many regions around the globe, including Africa, Asia, and the Middle East. It has the model number SM-A245F.
The latest update brings February 2025 security patch. You can check out the issues it fixes in our dedicated article about it. The firmware carrying the latest security patch carries version A245FXXS8CYB1. We expect Samsung to offer it to other variants of the smartphone and in other regions in the next few days.
To check if Samsung has made the February 2025 security update available for your Galaxy A24, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. There is another way for you to get the update. Head to our firmware section, download the firmware, and install it using the Odin software on a Windows PC.
The Galaxy A24 is eligible to get Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0. It offers vastly redesigned user interface, many new features, and also smoother animations.
