After a very long series of leaks and rumours, it is finally official. Samsung has announced that it will hold the next Galaxy Unpacked event on 22 January 2025 in San Jose, California, where it will launch the Galaxy S25 series.
You will be able to stream the event live on Samsung's website, YouTube channel, and Samsung Newsroom. It has also opened pre-reservation for the lineup.
In the press release, Samsung says that at this event it will announce “the next evolution of Galaxy AI.” With that, the brand is basically teasing the Galaxy S25 series. The lineup will have at least three devices, the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
There is also a fourth device on the cards, the Galaxy S25 Slim, that will probably come a few months after the other models. Samsung also says that the upcoming Galaxy AI “will be more natural and intuitive and will change the way Galaxy users interact with the world.”
Samsung has opened pre-reservations of the Galaxy S25 series. You can pre-reserve from now till the day of launch (22 January 2025) on Samsung’s website.
Pre-reserving the device will get you $50 in Samsung credits that you can use on Samsung’s website for purchasing other eligible products, $900 credit when you trade in an eligible device, and an additional $300 instant credit. You will also stand a chance to win $5,000 Samsung gift card.
Leaked renders have already given us a look at the Galaxy S25 series, and a leaked video has shown how the Galaxy S25 Ultra looks in real life. All the devices in the lineup are expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
The upcoming devices will feature an upgraded camera setup as well. The 512GB and 1TB variants of the Ultra model will come with 16GB RAM. It might also adopt MagSafe/Qi2 wireless charging standard. You can read more about them here.
