This is the Camera Share app coming to Galaxy Books with One UI 7

Camera Share is among the many new features that are coming to Galaxy smartphones with One UI 7.0 (Android 15). One UI 6.1 introduced a feature called Camera Sharing that allows your phone's camera to function as a webcam for your Galaxy tablet, and Camera Share adds the option to use your phone camera as a webcam on Samsung's Galaxy Book laptops.

Thanks to Camera Share, you will be able to get better quality when using video calling apps on your Galaxy Book. Samsung plans to release the Camera Share app next year, but we can offer an early look at it thanks to @GerwinvGiessen.

Like most Samsung apps on Windows, Camera Share has a simple user interface. The main menu gives you the option to turn the feature on and off, see a list of available devices, and log in to your Samsung account. The same Samsung account is needed on both your phone and laptop for the feature to work. And yes, you will need a Galaxy Book to use Camera Share.

Camera Share should work with any app or program that supports webcam or camera functionality. That includes Windows' built-in Camera app. In the current version of Camera Share, we're told the camera flickers no matter how good the ambient lighting, so this is still a work in progress.

A Microsoft Store page already exists for Camera Share, but it isn't active at this time. That will change whenever the app is ready for a public release, which should be soon after the Galaxy S25 launch in late January. It will also support the Galaxy S24 lineup and other devices eligible for the One UI 7 update.
