Samsung has announced that it has added 4,000 hours of new South Korean movies and TV shows to become the largest provider of K-content in the USA. K-content is one of the hottest entertainment categories right now, and Samsung TV Plus has received new content from K-Crime, K-Drama, K-Romance, and K-Thrillers genres through three big Korean content providers: CJ ENM, KT Alpha, and NEW ID.
Samsung TV Plus has brought the hit TV series Dark Hole, Doom at Your Service, and Voice 4 from CJ ENM. NEW ID's psychological thriller drama Beyond Evil will also be available soon. Food and travel shows like Genius Paik, House on Wheels, Three Meals a Day, and Youn’s Kitchen are also available on Samsung's streaming service. It has also received movies from KT Alpha and NEW ID, including A Taxi Driver, Burning, Joint Security Area, Oh! Brothers, Parasite, The President’s Last Bang, and 26 Years.
Salek Brodsky, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Samsung TV Plus, said, “K-Content is no longer niche — it’s one of the fastest growing and most watched categories globally, and Samsung TV Plus is uniquely positioned to deliver an unparalleled experience in this space with an endless offering of premium K-Content. Our partnerships with the leading Korean production and distribution companies CJ ENM, NEW ID, and KT Alpha came naturally, with Samsung TV Plus being the platform of choice to reach the largest audience possible, of both existing K-Fans and new viewers.”
