Over the past few years, Samsung has implemented various accessibility features in its products, including smartphones, tablets, wearables, and TVs. Now, the company has taken one more step toward bringing accessibility features to customers interested in buying Samsung products.

The South Korean firm has announced that it has started offering product consultation and demonstrations to customers using sign language. People with hearing and speech impairments can get information about products, their working, and certain features through a three-way video consultation. A Samsung representative will showcase the product, and an interpreter (from Gyeonggi-do Association for the Deaf) with official qualifications will translate that information into professional-grade sign language.

This service is called D'tailor (an abbreviation of Digital Lifestyle Tailor), and it is available at Samsung's offline and online stores in South Korea. These stores include Samsung Digital Plaza, Samsung VR Store, and Samsung.com. Samsung has become South Korea's first company to offer sign language in its sales, service, and installation processes.

The company also recently started offering the E-Detailer service, which offers 1:1 product consultation and demonstration via video calls at 109 stores in South Korea. Samsung says its usage has increased by 130%, and sales through the service have increased by 270%. This service also allows more than one customer to check out demonstration, which is helpful for couples or parents who stay away from their kids.
