Samsung has launched a new 98-inch Neo QLED TV in South Korea. Compared to last year, this year's 98-inch TV features 4K resolution and comes with higher brightness, better image quality, and a more powerful audio setup. It is priced at KRW 45,000,000 (around $33,900) in South Korea.
The KQ98QNB100, which features a 98-inch Mini-LED panel with 4K resolution, can reach searing brightness of up to 5,000 nits. Its brightness can be adjusted in 16,384 steps, thanks to a 14-bit panel and the Neo Quantum Processor+. Its AI-powered image processor can upscale non-4K content into 4K resolution. It features HDR10, HDR10+, and HLG but lacks Dolby Vision, similar to all Samsung TVs capable of playing HDR content.
It has a 6.4.4-channel speaker setup capable of putting out 120W audio. It has six front-firing speakers, four up-firing speakers, and four woofers. It has Object Sound Tracking+ and Q-Symphony for better audio and integration with Samsung soundbars. It lets users watch four different video streams simultaneously. The TV has a complete metal build and is just 19.9mm thin (35% thinner than the previous generation TV).
It runs the South Korean firm's Tizen OS and has access to all the audio and video streaming services. It also features Bixby, Alexa, Samsung Health, Samsung TV Plus, and SmartThings. The Samsung KQ98QNB100 will be launched in Europe as the QE98QN100B and in the US as the QN98QN100B in the coming months.
