After beta-testing the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update on the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 for a few weeks, Samsung had released the stable update in South Korea. However, the company had to suspend the update after many users complained about critical bugs on their foldable phones. Today, the company resumed rolling out the stable One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in South Korea.

The new Android 12 build for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 comes with firmware version F711NKSU2BUL4, and it has been released in South Korea. The latest stable One UI 4.0 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 bears firmware version F926NKSU1BUL4. If these new software builds are really stable, Samsung may release the Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in more countries.

If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in South Korea, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 from our firmware database and flash it manually.

The previous update was causing many issues, including booting the device into recovery mode or the device getting bricked. Some people even claimed that they could not use the Dual Messenger feature for some messaging apps. Some users could not take screenshots or use video streaming apps like Netflix or YouTube.

Some Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3 users even said that images captured using the camera weren't getting saved in the gallery. Others said that their phone's screen refresh rate was downgraded to 60Hz even though they've chosen the 120Hz setting. Samsung might have fixed most of these issues with the new stable update.
