Samsung's foldable phones have come a long way since they were first launched. The company has made several improvements in terms of specifications, software features, design, and even durability. To showcase how it has improved the durability of its foldable devices, the South Korean firm has published a new video (you can find it at the end of the article).

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 are the company's latest foldable smartphones. They use an Armor Aluminum frame, which is stronger than the metal used in its previous-generation foldable devices and can withstand more drops and shocks. Moreover, the phones now feature Gorilla Glass Victus on the front and the rear for improved scratch and shatter resistance.

The company has also improved the hinge of the two smartphones, stopping dust from entering the moving parts using ‘Sweeper' technology. The new hinge can be opened and closed 200,000 times, enough to last five years. The smartphones are also IPX8 rated for water resistance, which means you don't need to be afraid of taking them outside while it's raining or an accidental drop in the water.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 use UTG (Ultra Thin Glass) protection and an additional PET film on the foldable display for improved resistance against scratches and drops. On the whole, the two foldable devices are a lot durable and stronger than previous-generation foldable devices and can withstand daily use for years to come.
