LG TVs get Dolby Atmos in Apple Music as Samsung TVs get left out

Apple is updating the Apple Music app for LG TVs with support for Dolby Atmos. It makes LG TVs the first TVs to offer Dolby Atmos in Apple Music (via FlatPanelsHD). The latest addition makes listening to songs through Apple Music on LG TVs more enjoyable.

At the moment, we don’t have a list of models that support the app’s new feature. However, the publication says that it is live on LG GX OLED TV, which the South Korean tech giant had launched in 2020. Considering that, it is safe to assume that almost all LG TVs launched in 2020 or later will offer support for Dolby Atmos in Apple Music.

We hope that Samsung too works with Apple and brings support for Dolby Atmos in the Apple Music app for Samsung TVs. Apart from Samsung TV owners, the addition would benefit people who have Samsung soundbars as well, which support Dolby Atmos.
