The Galaxy S24 series smartphones were the first from Samsung to get the March 2024 security patch. Since then, the update has trickled down to many devices, including the Galaxy Z Fold 5, Galaxy Z Flip 5, Galaxy Z Fold 4, and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Now, it is time for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Samsung has released the March 2024 security patch to the international variants of the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and the Galaxy Z Flip 3, which carry model numbers SM-F926B and SM-F711B respectively. The firmware carrying the latest security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has the build number F926BXXS6GXBD and that for the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is F711BXXS7GXBD. It fixes many security issues, making your device more secure.
Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update in Europe, and the company should release it in other regions gradually over the next few days. Your Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3 should automatically notify you about the update. If it hasn’t, you can check for the new firmware manually by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. You can also download it from our database and install it using Odin.
The two smartphones will get a major software update in the next couple of weeks, which will bring One UI 6.1. The duo are also eligible to get Android 15 (One UI 7.0) when Google makes it available later this year.
