The Galaxy S24 series smartphones come with One UI 6.1. It features a newer version of One UI Home (v15.1.01.3) than the latest version of the launcher that’s available for One UI 6.0 (v15.0.09.1). The newest version of One UI Home offers smoother animations on the home screen, such as when you are opening and closing applications. Well, Samsung could soon release an update to One UI Home for other smartphones and tablets from the company, which will offer smoother animations on those devices as well.

We found the APK of version 15.1.01.3 of One UI Home and installed it on our Galaxy S23. We noticed that it offers smoother animations on the home screen. The change is especially noticeable when opening and closing applications. With the older version of One UI Home, people sometimes encounter frame drops in the animations for opening and closing apps. Fortunately, this version of One UI Home solves that issue as well. We didn’t notice any stutter in the animations for opening and closing apps.

While you can download the APK of the newest version of One UI Home and install it on your Samsung phone or tablet to enjoy smoother animations, we recommend you wait for the official update to arrive as installing an APK downloaded from a third-party website could be risky because it could contain malware. Unfortunately, there’s no information about when Samsung will roll out an update to the launcher. There’s a high chance that the new version of One UI Home could arrive as a part of the One UI 6.1 update.
